When designing the SVALL model, Martyna Piaściak sought inspiration in the dynamics of liquids. The name “SVALL” means “tide” in Swedish – the moment when water rushes violently onto the shore. This energy was captured in the static form of precious wood, which resulted in the German Design Award 2024, Dobry Wzór 2023 Award and the Diament Meblarstwa 2024 Award.

The washbasin has a variable, organic edge line that mimics a sea wave. Although it is made of solid wood (choice of oak, walnut, ash, or maple), it gives the impression of being extremely light and malleable. This is a rare case where a hard material reflects the fluidity of nature.

  • Lightweight construction: despite being made of solid wood, the washbasin looks subtle and does not overwhelm the countertop.
  • Craftsmanship: the organic form required precise machining, which can be seen in the smooth transitions of the lines.
  • Visual consistency: the washbasin blends perfectly with the oak cabinet from the same collection, creating a set with the same finish standard.
